Like the park, but better.

Parkish is a place to bring the kids, or to steal a moment alone. A place to play, meet friends, or just chill. A place to mark a special occasion, or spend a perfectly ordinary afternoon.

Our Story

Parkish was founded by a Brooklyn mom trying her best to raise three little kids in this great big city. While navigating the highs and lows of that experience, three interconnected thoughts kept worming their way into her head, eventually becoming the inspiration for Parkish:

01

Kids just need space — and a beautiful place — to let their imaginations roam.

02

Indoor spaces designed for kids tend not to be beautiful; beautiful spaces tend not to be for kids. Kids, and those who care for them, deserve better options.

03

For city dwellers, parks are the antidote to feeling trapped. There should be more places like parks. Places that are park...ish.

If we at Parkish can elevate the everyday experience of parenting in the city — and create opportunities for parents to connect with their kids, and with each other — we'll have achieved our goal.

Welcome to the great indoors.

Hi Neighbors!

If you're a small business owner in the neighborhood who needs space for a one-time event or gathering, please reach out. We'd love to see if we can help on us, of course :)

FAQ

  • From the moment we started dreaming up Parkish, we wanted to create a space that actually felt like an extension of your home. We wanted it to be a place you could truly just show up — any time, any day, no reservations or planning required — and know that you’d never get turned away or have to fight tooth and nail for a place to sit.

We feel that the best way to make this vision a reality is through memberships. However, whether it’s through guest passes, visitors to the cafe, special events, and more, we will continue to look for opportunities to welcome members of the broader community into our space, while preserving the member experience.

  • We’ve reserved a pool of memberships for members of our community who wouldn’t otherwise be able to join. Please fill out this form to enter the lottery!

  • We offer a 7-day grace period from when you purchase a membership to enable you to get a feel for Parkish. If you choose to cancel your membership within this period, we will be happy to issue a full refund.

  • Between the hours of 9am - 5pm, we welcome anyone and everyone to pay us a visit, grab a coffee or a bite to eat, and take a quick peek at our space! In order to stay and hang, though, you must be a member, or the guest of a member.

  • We encourage our members to bring friends along to Parkish! Guest passes are $45/person. Please note that weekday members may bring guests on weekdays only.

All guests must sign a waiver and adhere to our community norms.

  • Nope! Parkish welcomes kids... but they are not required for entry :) We’ve got good Wifi, good coffee, and plenty of quiet corners where you can get some work done. Feel free to come here for coworking, drinks with a friend, a bite to eat, or a peaceful moment to yourself.

  • Absolutely — but they will require a guest pass or an additional adult membership to access the space. They must also sign a waiver and adhere to our community norms.

  • Most event bookings are reserved for members at this time. However, we may be able to accommodate non-members who wish to book the full venue for nighttime events.
